It literally seemed like everyone was moving in different directions at different speeds.
This place was such a madhouse Saturday night for dinner you have to be aggressive when walking around and be fast on your feet or you will get bumped and run over. I had to walk around with a hostess looking for my party. No last name taken to match with table.etc, nothing. When I came in and got in line (2 minutes later), my other two had already been seated and none of the hostesses knew anything about anything. Two went in to put our name in while myself and another parked the car. Also (as an experienced crab eater) you could choose clusters that looked easier to snap open with your hands. The crab wasn't covered with a lid so the steam could escape. I noticed that later on when the lady closed up her area and they started filling the bins on the regular line with crab.the crab shell was less bendy.not overboiled. She also covers the bins with a lid so it continues to steam them limp. you may get stuck with the slightly undersized clusters which.wouldn't normally be an issue but.when boiled at the same rate as the slightly larger ones.becomes waterlogged and don't snap open.they mush/bend and it ruins the single piece of meat. This sucks because what you get is random. During busy times they have a separate line where some lady rations each person 2 crab leg clusters only. That being said it gets me to my biggest gripes 1. Price was $50/ person.which isn't horrible if you're a crab legs guy. Was excited to bring my parents and brother here who were visiting the Carolinas. Was my second time eating here in a few years. While the price may be on the higher side, it is worth it for the quality of the food and service. Overall, Captain George's Seafood Restaurant is a fine dining spot that provides a memorable experience with its beautiful decor, great food, and exceptional service.
